My Conducting Experience

When I was very young I read a book on the art of Conducting, fascinated by the interplay between Conductor and Orchestra.

I first picked up the baton at the age of 16, conducting at the Queen’s Division Junior School of Music. I graduated from there to study at the Royal Military School of Music Kneller Hall, where I won the Worshipful Company of Musicians Medal for the highest level of academic studies throughout the course.

I later became the Director of Music to the Nottinghamshire Police Band, the New Sherwood Collective Wind Band, and have also conducted professionally at the University of Nottingham.  As a Conductor, I am an elected Associate of the University of West London having been examined by the London College's Chief Examiner, Dr Philip Aldred.
